About Us
Focused on Bringing New Pulmonary Medicines Forward
Who We Are
At IRulya, we are committed to transforming the lives of patients facing serious, underserved conditions by developing potentially disease-modifying therapies to treat their underlying illness. Our approach is centered on mTOR dysregulation, a biological mechanism implicated across multiple pulmonary conditions.
A Pulmonary Disease Focus
Many severe pulmonary conditions remain difficult to treat, with few—if any—treatment options that meaningfully alter the disease course. IRulya was founded to pursue an approach that directly impacts the underlying disease biology, designed to deliver such therapy directly to the site of disease in the lungs.
A Biology-Driven Approach
Our research is centered on mTOR dysregulation, a pathway that is hyperactivated and implicated in multiple pulmonary diseases.
A Therapy Designed for the Lung
Our lead investigational therapy, LAM-001, is a once-daily inhaled formulation of the mTOR inhibitor rapamycin, designed to deliver treatment directly to the lungs. We are evaluating LAM-001 in pulmonary hypertension associated with interstitial lung disease (PH-ILD), bronchiolitis obliterans syndrome post lung transplant (BOS), and sarcoidosis-associated pulmonary hypertension (SAPH).
Leadership Team
IRulya is led by an experienced team of scientists, clinicians, drug developers, and business leaders united by a shared commitment to advancing therapies for serious pulmonary diseases.
